Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) was established in 1974 as the National Statistics Agency of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics has established network of headquarter divisional, district and upazilas / Mettipilton thana offices with Dhaka Head Office to implement its activities. Currently, 08 departments of 08 divisional statistical offices, 64 district statistics offices, 492 upazilas and 69 subdivisions of the Metapitalin thana statistical office are spread across 64 districts.
